Melian, Burne meet ECAC standards on day one of Penn Relays

Sophomore Christina Melian of the Stony Brook women's track and field team finished third in the 5,000-meters in a personal-record time of 16:11.88, while senior Olivia Burne placed fourth in the 3,000-meters in a career-best 9:18.54 Thursday night at the Penn Relays. Both times were ECAC qualifiers.
