Junior Chris Hand of the Stony Brook men's track and field team broke a school record and qualified for the IC4As with a 17.85-meter toss in the weight throw Friday night at the NYU Team Challenge. Olivia Burne of the women's team ran one of the fastest filmed in the country this season at the Terrier Invite hosted by Boston University, placing third among collegiate runners in 4:38.10.
